With over 20 years’ experience working in the major event industry, including sport, venues and tourism, Ingrid has developed her network and project management experience across multi-functional environments within the private and public sectors globally.
Ingrid has worked and lived nationally across Australia and globally in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the United Kingdom working on a diverse range of events such as The Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and World Cups.
Ingrid has extensive experience in developing multi stakeholder governance structures and operational procedures for large scale projects having worked for organisations such as Swimming Australia, City of Gold Coast, Tourism and Events Queensland, Trade and Investment Queensland, Suncorp Stadium and AEG Ogden (now ASN Global).
Karen Sanders manages the technology interface for the Better Events team. In addition to this role Karen leads the award-winning technology company, Real Serious Games which was founded 10 years ago and has recently expanded into four countries through Australia, the Middle East and Europe.
Karen has an engineering background and has previously worked on a range of infrastructure projects. Since that time Karen has continued to push the application of emerging technologies in a range of sectors.
Karen is widely regarded as a leading expert in the development of virtual reality, augmented reality, extended reality and 3D/4D planning implementation.
Ingrid Arkesteijn is a highly experienced senior major event manager and has worked for numerous large international multi-sport events since Sydney 2000.
Ingrid has a very broad understanding of the multi-sport environment having worked in a number of different Functional Areas as well as a host city.
Events Ingrid worked at are the Olympic, Paralympic, Commonwealth, Asian, Pan-American Games, the inaugural European Games and several other events.
Based in Lausanne, Switzerland Ingrid leads our European projects.
